Here we are finding a good amount of inspiration from the Oaks Lily cocktail in this highball/sour hybrid. Often we may shake some of these ingredients but the undiluted experience is part of what we are reaching for while in creating this light and invigorating cocktail. Subtle spice with fresh juicy fruit and slightly floral undertones.

FRENCH 75

As is the story with many classic cocktails, the French 75 and its predecessors give us a little carte blanche when interpreting its ingredients. We choose to stick with the classic London dry style gin rather than cognac or brandy. Effervescent and dry as this cocktail might be, you may find yourself consuming posthaste.

The history of this cocktail is a bit fuzzy but you can be sure that this cocktail has deep roots that reach back all the way to the 1880’s. The equal proportions of dry gin to vermouth, give a brilliant blend of tea, spice, and soothing gin botanicals. Followed up with flavors of maraska cherry and orange. The slightly lower ABV and silky texture make this cocktail hard to pass up.
