Rieger Gin

A cherry pie in a glass. Notes of ripe cherry, warm cinnamon, and fresh lemon create a nostalgic sip that tastes like summer and smells like fresh pie cooling by the window.

INGREDIENTS

• 1½ oz J. Rieger Gin
• 1 oz Reduced Tart Cherry*
• ¼ oz Cinnamon Syrup
• ¾ oz Fresh Lemon Juice

INSTRUCTIONS

Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake until well chilled.
Strain over fresh ice in a hurricane glass. Top with a splash of soda
water. Garnish with a skewered lemon slice and a cherry in syrup.

*Reduced Tart Cherry
Pour one 32 oz bottle of tart cherry juice into a saucepan along with
2 whole cinnamon sticks and 150 g honey. Bring to a gentle simmer
over medium heat, stirring to dissolve the honey. Allow to reduce for
approximately 15 minutes, until the liquid is syrupy and deeply
concentrated with a rich, jewel-toned color. Remove the cinnamon
sticks, cool completely, and refrigerate. Keeps up to 2 weeks.
