A derivative of the classic Ward 8 cocktail, you'll find this to be quite an adaptable experience with layers of flavor. Bright fruit flavors of pomegranate and deep rich flavors of honey really make this cocktail enjoyable all year long.

• 1 ½ oz choice of Premium Wheat Vodka, Midwestern Dry Gin, or KC Whiskey

• ¾ oz fresh lemon juice

• ¾ oz honey pomegranate syrup*

• ½ oz Cappelletti

• lemon twist

Combine all your ingredients in a shaker tin with ice. Vigorously shake for 4-6 seconds. Strain into your favorite cocktail glass and garnish with a lemon twist

*Honey Pomegranate Syrup - In a sauce pan at medium heat, combine 12 ounces of POM pomegranate juice with 1 cinnamon stick. Bring to a light simmer for no longer than 10 minutes and remove from heat. While warm, add 24 ounces of honey and stir until completely incorporated. You may remove the cinnamon stick if you would like, and know that if you choose to leave it in the syrup, the cinnamon flavor and aroma will become more present. Store in an airtight container and refrigerate. Shelf life is approximately 2 weeks.
